Esko earmarks Fespa launch for cutting tool

Esko will use Fespa 2007 to premiere a new machine for cutting printed textiles and sign materials.

The manufacturer has bolstered its post-press range with the RotaCut product, which is being targeted at textile-based promotional work, such as flags and banners.

The drop-in insert, which can be applied to all XL toolheads, will be demonstrated on the company’s Kongsberg i-XL24 large-format finishing table at stand C300. The exhibition takes place on 5-9 June in Berlin.

According to the firm, RotaCut expands the number of sign materials that can be cut on its table line, which include signs, displays, point-of-sale work and packaging.

Esko product manager Tom Naess said: “One of the reasons Kongsberg tables are so successful is due to the wide variety of materials they can process.

“Our goal is to make our tables as versatile as possible, capable of handling an ever wider variety of different substrates, from rigid to flexible.”
