Entwistle adds finishing touches to photobook-printing arsenal

Litho and digital printer The Entwistle Group has set itself up as a photobook printer after installing a raft of finishing equipment from Ashgate Automation.

The north-west-based company has launched a photobook website to complement its existing products, and has bought a Booxter, a Casematic H46Pro hard cover maker, a large-format Fotomount F42 for lay flat books and a C500 creaser for its Manchester facility.

Managing director Jason Richards said: "We wanted to expand the products that we could produce from our two Indigo 5000 digital presses.

"Photobooks and high quality digitally printed presentations with customised covers were a natural extension for our customer base.

"We knew that once this new venture took off, we had to take control of the finishing and offer a more comprehensive, high quality in-house service."

Although photobooks are a key part of Entwistle’s offering, it also produces a range of products including school books, slip cases, folders and ring binders.
