Elle magazine celebrates British fashion designers with London Underground poster campaign

Elle magazine has commissioned a range of posters from 25 designers for this year's London Fashion Week to celebrate the event's 25th anniversary.

The 1016x635mm posters will be displayed on 83 sites in zone 1 of the London Underground between 11 and 25 September. Transport for London organised the printing by Rivington Press.

A spokeswoman for the magazine said that Elle was uniquely positioned among its peers as essentially British in content and tone to be able to be able to call on the top British design talent to produce these designs. The posters include work from Antonio Berardi, Henry Holland, Paul Smith, Mulberry, Rankin, Pat McGrath, Jasper Conran and Pringle.

Five of the posters will also be used as covers for collector editions of the London special October issue of Elle, which is printed by Polestar. The issue will be available in a total of 11 different covers, even including one featuring mayor Boris Johnson, available exclusively at the London Fashion Week.
