EFI targets SME packaging firms with Radius small business edition

EFI has launched a small business version of its Radius MIS/ERP aimed at small- to medium-sized packaging firms.

Radius small business edition is an entry-level, fully integrated software package aimed at single-site label, flexible packaging, converting and folding carton companies.

The cut-down version of EFI's Radius enterprise edition comes with a standard suite of modules and a streamlined user interface that will allow smaller packaging firms to improve efficiencies and simplify workflows.

Modules in the small business edition include estimating, tooling management, inventory, purchasing, scheduling, shop floor data collection and direct machine interface (DMI), accounting, and EFI's one-stop order manager.

David Taylor, general manager of EFI Radius, said: "Smaller, single-site packaging companies have been asking for a more entry-level version of our ERP system to take their operations to the next level, and we're excited to fill this need for them."

EFI has also announced an updated enterprise version of the Radius MIS, with the addition of estimating for corrugated packaging, ability to handle complex carton processing, and JDF integration with Esko Artwork's Automation Engine.
