The departments affected include two finishing areas at its paper mill in Hendon and a stationery shop in the city. The company has a total workforce of 550.
In a statement the company said: Trading in the remainder of the company is steady and under the proposal a number of employees from the affected areas would be transferred to other departments.
The company, which was founded in 1867, has supplied the bingo industry since 1957.
