ForestExpress.com has selected online asset management company EquipNet Direct to provide the asset exchange platform for all of the used equipment dealings on the marketplace.
A full range of EquipNet Direct services will be offered as a result, ranging from equipment listings, sales of surplus assets, through to inventory management and refurbishment. Additional used equipment services for the forest products community will also be developed between the two companies.
ForestExpress chief executive Keith Russell said: "Adding surplus equipment services to our marketplace will provide significant value to our customers.
"Our relationship with EquipNet Direct is the first in a series of strategic partnerships with leading companies that will provide adjacent services to our core functionality."
ForestExpress will debut in the last quarter of 2000, with its leading equity partners including Georgia-Pacific, International Paper, Weyerhaeuser and Mead.
