Higher image quality, spot colours and optional UV curing push it into the high end of the personalisation market as a rival to Scitex Digital Printing, according to Domino.
That is where well really push Domino On Demand, it is very competitive, said David Ellen (pictured), director of Dominos commercial printing division.
It uses drop-on-demand ink-jet print heads from Spectra, a first for the firm, which it sees as the start of a new generation of products based on that technology.
