Document Solutions confident of securing foothold with Leeds opening

Document Solutions is aiming to "establish a significant footprint in Leeds" when the kit supplier opens up a 372sqm operation in the city later this month.

The company, which has recently signed a distribution deal with Konica Minolta, is to add a Leeds presence to its Bradford foothold in a bid to grow the business.

Managing director Steven Cavanagh said he anticipated that Document Solutions could establish a site in Leeds "while ensuring that our existing customer base in Bradford continues to receive an excellent service response from a local centre".

The move, which is due to take place on 27 September, also involves the company relocating its Bradford facility to Knowles Lane.

He said: "Leeds is the fourth largest city in the UK and is set to remain the most significant economic driver of the region's economy."

Cavanagh added: "It is important for our business going forward that we are able to tap into this growth while keeping customer service and technical support close to our core customers."

The move follows on from the company ending its single-sourcing deal with Xerox late last year in order to pursue its "ambitious" growth plans.

Document Solutions distributes digital presses to the high-end office and low-end production markets. The company has 22 staff and a turnover of £4m.
