Digital Print Innovations Ltd (DPI) targets successful 2012 following strong start to year

Digital Print Innovations Ltd (DPI) has reported a "busy and successful" start to 2012 with a raft of sales made during the first quarter.

The East Midlands supplier made sales across a range of machines at the recent Sign & Digital show, including the InkTec Jetrix 2030FRK flatbed printer, which was sold to Quantum UV Technologies.

In addition, DPI reported strong interest from visitors for the 3.2m-wide MTex 3200 fabric inkjet printer, EasyRack media storage and handling system and Seiko's wide-format H2 74s solvent printer.

Quantum UV Technologies, with its new Jetrix 2030FRK, has partnered with Midlands-based Premier Finishes to set-up a new anti-viral printing service.

The company has acquired the global rights to develop and market inks that contain Hygienilac, which is an effective anti-bacterial additive that is FDA and HSE approved.

Stewart Bell, managing director of DPI, said: "It was great to be able to kick off the show with this great news of a totally innovative print service.

"We’ve been working very hard with Quantum UV over the past few months to help them realise this idea into a very real business opportunity and with orders already in the book for antibacterial print we’re delighted to be involved at the very beginning of a new and exciting era."

DPI said its EasyRack media storage and handling system, which is priced from £695, has become "the fastest selling gadget" it has ever launched.

Available as a wall-mounted configuration, to hold 12 rolls of media or as a portable floor standing unit, holding up to 24 rolls of media, vinyl, paper or fabric, the system can be bought in seven widths.

"The rolls simply click on and off so easily and if you’ve ever had to deal with rolls of media falling about the place and getting damaged, then you’ll know that this solution is every signmaker & digital printers dream especially with space at a premium," added Bell.
