Digital Imaging Services adds Arizona and accreditation

Digital Imaging Services has invested in an Oc Arizona 480GT, its first dedicated digital flatbed printer, in order to offer clients higher quality direct-to-substrate output, specialist substrates and lenticular printing.

The investment at the end of February follows the firm’s recent gaining of ISO 14001 and 9001 certification.

"The gaining of the ISOs re-iterates our commitment to quality and sustainability while the new machine expands the range of creative printing options for our clients," said managing director Mark Bradley.

The Arizona 480GT includes white and clear inks to enable the firm to produce a range of creative effects and to print on coloured and clear substrates, it has already completed a campaign utilising both white and the varnish directly onto plywood for a beverage launch.

It joins an EFI Vutek QS3220 hybrid UV-cured machine, Epson and HP rollfed aqueous printers and an Esko Kongsberg digital cutting table.

The Wolverhampton-based firm has 14 staff and sales of £12.m and operates from a 1,400m production and warehousing facilities.

It specialises in working with brands and providing full service projects including logistics, distribution and installation, including pan-European work and even North American work.
