MAN Roland has taken four more orders for its DICOweb digital press bringing the total number of Drupa-generated sales to ten.
Staempsli Druck in Switzerland, Mohndruck, a part of the Bertlesmann Group, and Wachterdruck, both in Germany, and an unnamed Viennese printer have all placed an order for a DICOweb. These follow on from the already announced Impac deal for five units and the single sale to Wyndeham Press.
DICOweb has undoubtedly been the star of Drupa 2000, said Keith Gatfield, managing director of PPS, MAN Rolands UK supplier. It has shown the print industry the way ahead. It is printing high quality colour now for the commercial market.
