Croucher joined the Frome-based colour and book specialist at the start of this week as sales and technical director of the report and accounts division. He will not sit on the firms main board.
B&T managing director Adrian Huett said Croucher, a corporate print specialist, would provide a massive boost to the companys push into the commercial market.
We have known Mark for several years and when he became available we had no hesitation in offering him a job, Huett said.
Croucher had been searching for a new position since leaving Perivan White Dove at the end of last year after it fell into the hands of the administrator.
He was previously managing director of St Ives subsidiary Westerham Press.
I came up in competition with B&T when I was working at Westerham Press and always had a lot of respect for the quality of work they produced, Croucher said.
He added that B&Ts large-format KBA 162a presses brought something completely new to the B1 quality sector. They can produce sheetfed quality and still achieve the schedules of the web sector, he said.
Crouchers corporate print contact book will be of great benefit to B&T, which has made some significant inroads into this market in recent years winning high-profile report and account work for clients such as Shell and Vodafone.
The market Im known in is the designer-led market; Ive worked in that sector for 10 years, Croucher said. Hopefully I can give designers the confidence to use B&T.
Croucher will work alongside B&Ts commercial sales director Charlie Fenby, who will concentrate on new business in the commercial sector.
