Cromalin to make comeback following GPS's buyout of DuPont

Wifac Group subsidiary GPS has announced the return of the iconic Cromalin digital proofing brand with the launch of the X-proof Cromalin.

The launch was enabled by GPS's exclusive distribution partnership with DuPont's digital proofing business, which was struck in January last year, following DuPont's decision to focus on its consumables business.

Since then, GPS has developed an updated proofing solution based on the Cromalin technology. Following market feedback and field tests, the X-proof Cromalin is now ready for launch.

GPS international dealer manager, Wim Plaggenburg, said: "X-proof Cromalin consists of sophisticated colour management software in combination with the latest iPF Canon printer series.

"High quality, consistency and other distinguishable differences position X-proof Cromalin close to the Cromalin B and Blue series, but with a dramatically different price performance ratio."

The X-proof Cromalin package includes the X-proof Cromalin RIP, integrated workflow, DeviceLink profiles, a fine tune module, a certification tool, ISO certified consumables, as well as full training and support, and one of the range of iPF Canon 12 colour inkjet printers.

GPS has already appointed a national service agent and is currently in the process of appointing sales agents throughout the UK.
