CreoScitex is to debut its latest end-to-end packaging pre-press products at Flexo 2001.
Prinergy Powerpack workflow, billed as the first PDF-based workflow for the packaging industry, provides colour management, trapping, step-and-repeat and an open PDF workflow.
And its internet capabilities offer PDF collaboration between print buyer and sales team for better job communication.
CreoScitex will also display the ThermoFlex platesetter family including the 5280 and 5067 for wide flexo presses, the 4045 for the mid-range market, and the 2630 - the first dedicated digital pre-press system for flexo label printers.
The ThermoFlex 2630 is available as a standalone device or can be bundled with the Brisque Extreme Pack digital front-end, which was launched at last year's Drupa.
Brisque Extreme Pack provides features designed for offset, gravure and flexo packaging printers, including step-and-repeat editing software and CreoScitex StepOne, the Macintosh-based product.
Designed as an easy-to-use programme for Brisque users, StepOne uses the Brisque Extreme Pack and enables both automatic and manual stepping.
The CreoScitex ThermoFlex imaging head now exposes up to 4m2 per hour, some three times faster than the 5280. It can be driven by a TIFF front-end for integration with most RIPs.
CreoScitex will be on stand 1612 at Flexo 2001, which runs from 27 February to 1 March at the NEC in Birmingham.
