The deal, which is worth six figures in incremental revenue for Checkprint, will add substantially to its 3m turnover. It also includes the acquisition of Software Stationerys composition, continuous and cut-sheet printing equipment.
Checkprint managing director Martin Ruda said: We explored the idea of working together, but decided on this agreement as Software Stationery wanted to concentrate more on its core business of print management rather than printing.
The companies had close links in the past as they were both part of the Deluxe Corporation of America.
Checkprints most high-profile contracts are the printing of the winners cheques for Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? and The National Lottery.
