The publisher tested the workflow when it took the repro for Money Marketing, Marketing Week, The Lawyer and Fund Strategy in-house.
There were several features we liked about Odystar. Its extremely easy to use and relatively inexpensive to install, said Centaurs Apple support manager Steve Marks.
As well as investing in Odystar, Centaur upgraded to Mac OSX and incorporated a colour management system.
Odystar is fully automated, JDF-based and uses PDF 1.4 native throughout.
Centaur, which had planned to take most of its repro in-house this year, moved its external repro from Atelier to Wyndeham Icon when the Cornish firm ceased trading in May.
