Ashford, Kent-based CCL Label installed the machine in order to handle more lightweight folding for its pharmaceutical labels work.

Production manager Nial Warne said: "This machine will bring in new business. We can handle more configurations, be more flexible to our customers' needs – our capacity, response time and product range has been increased.

"A folding machine is a folding machine, but some are better at certain products than others and this is more suited to lightweight materials. It adds another string to our bow."

CCL Label has more than 50 facilities across the world in countries including Canada, Brazil, Russia and Australia.
