SMP and Fujifilm Holland install one of the world's largest guillotines

SMP Group has installed one of the world's largest guillotines at its London site, one of two companies to recently opt for Premier Guillotines Cauhe GH 366.

Fujifilm manufacturing in Holland has also installed the Cauhe GH 366 one-piece rear table guillotine.

The machine features increased clamp pressure of up to 7.5 tonnes, a double-pull down knife action and the Fuji machine also has a special knife beam.

According to SMP Group Director Brian Jeffrey the machine will help the company's growth in the large-format market.

Fuji's installation was completed in three months, from order to completion. It is being used to cut 2800x1600mm large-format litho plates up to 70mm high.
