Director Ian Fergusson said volumes were increasing, and customers required “ever shorter lead times”.
“This new B1 foiler runs at speeds of up to 7,000 sheets per hour, offering outstanding reliability and premium foil finish quality.
“It ensures we continue to meet high expectations without compromising on service or creative freedom,” he said.
Benefits of the C106Y model include a bigger surface area for large-format packaging and publishing project, faster turnarounds on high-volume work, and enhanced options for creative foiling.
The group now has eight B1 foiling machines across its four sites.
“Our foiling team is among the most experienced in the industry,” Fergusson added.
“But to continue delivering the turnaround times, quality, and innovation our clients expect, we have to keep investing in the best kit available.”
The firm said that as well as the new foiler, other recent investments had helped to broaden its offering including nested tray production, window patching, carton gluing and B1 die-cutting.
Celloglas was acquired out of administration in a pre-pack deal just over a year ago, and remains the UK’s biggest trade finishing operation.
