Canon lifts lid on TPE plans

Canon has set out its stall for this year's Total Print! Expo, where it will give a UK debut to its new imagePress C1+ with clear toner.

The company will also be showcasing its 60ppm imagePress C6000VP and its new large format machine, the imagePrograf iPF820.

The imagePressC1+ light production printer features a clear toner, which can produce a raft of effects that include matt, gloss and spot varnishing.

Spot coatings and metallic effects can be applied during the printing process at speeds of 11ppm. It can also be used as a coater on pre-printed sheets, at rates of up to 40ppm.

Canon will be giving its first UK showing the imagePress C6000VP, which can output at 60ppm on substrates up to 300gsm and the large format imagePrograf iPF820, capable of producing an A1 print in 24 seconds.

The company will also be showcasing products from its alliance partners including the Helix Production Workflow Suite and applications from Transeo Media.
