The LP17 is a 17" model and can output on an A2 format. It offers a print resolution of 1200dpi and can produce a colour document in 20 seconds.
The larger LP24 model offers the same resolution and can produce an A1 print in 33 seconds.
Canon is aiming the five-colour machines at the production of in-house collateral such as posters, promotional announcements and wall charts.
Both models feature an economy printing mode, large LCD screen and PosterArtist, signage and poster creation software.
Shane Burchett, of Canon UK's large format print division, said both models "fulfil the highest requirements for precision, accuracy and speed with superb reproduction details and graphics".
