London-based design and print co-operative Calverts has slashed its pre-press turnaround times after moving to CTP.
It bought a CreoScitex Lotem 400V and Brisque Impose digital workflow for short-run material for clients including arts groups, agencies and design firms.
"We have a large customer base and can work for 300 firms in a year," said pre-press manager Paul Santer.
"It was crucial to invest in digital workflow that could handle all file formats."
He added: "The Brisque workflow is frighteningly fast a benefit we can pass on to our customers."
The firm used to produce plates from film and suffered from bottlenecks. Within a month of installation the Brisque and Lotem were handling 98% of jobs.
Calverts has two Heidelberg B2 72 presses, a four-colour and a two-colour.
