B&P spends on grand format

Tradebrigade, the trade print division of B&P Lightbrigade has announced an investment of over 500,000 in grand format equipment.

B&P Lightbrigade marketing manager Marc Burnett said through the investment Tradebrigade aims to increase its position in the marketplace by attaining a higher quality level. "We could have increased capacity for less outlay, but we felt it was important to move onto the next stage."

The investment will see Tradebrigade become the first UK large-format printer to have a Zund 250-Combi UV flatbed printer, which can handle rigid media up to 100mm thick. An order has also been placed for the recently launched Vutek UltraVu II printer, which can print eight colours up to 720dpi resolution.

The final piece is an upgrade to Tradebrigade's NUR Fresco system that will bring it up to Fresco II specification.
