Acton-based Boss Print won three categories: Limited Edition and Fine Binding for Paper Dolls; Self-published Books for Lyon; and Best British Book for North Northwest published by Concentric Editions, which was also awarded Book of the Year.
The event was hosted by television presenter – and now author – Konnie Huq, who said that the publishing process behind the launch of her own book for children had been a revelation.
“I didn’t really realise the importance of book design until I joined the book world. Tiny details make such a massive difference to the feel of a book,” she said.
“I’ve had a 360-degree change of opinion. Now I’m obsessed with fonts!”
