Blue Printing Company confirms Burlington bid

East-London commercial printer Blue Printing Company (BPC) has expressed an interest in purchasing the assets of failed Cambridge printer Burlington Press.

Burlington went into administration with insolvency practitioner Tenon Recovery last Wednesday (4 March).

According to Tenon, a deal to sell the company was hoped to be finalised by the end of this week.

PrintWeek understands that one interested party has already dropped out of the running.

BPC, which has been acquisitive in recent years purchasing companies such as Masterange Business Services, is the latest name to be linked with the business. Managing director Paul Mursell confirmed that his company had made an offer to Tenon.

It is unclear if there are currently any other bids on the table. Tenon Recovery was unavailable for comment at the time of going to press.
