Burlington Press bought out of administration by fellow Cambridge printer

Failed printer Burlington Press has been bought by the owner of another locally based printer Blue Point Cambridge (BPC).

Burlington Press went into administration early last month with insolvency practitioner Tenon Recovery.

In the last month it has been subject to speculation over a possible buyer, including east London printer Blue Printing Company.

PrintWeek has learned that a sale went through this week to BPC owner Jim Gilmour, in a deal assisted by the BPIF.

BPC, bought another Cambridge business – Call Printers – last October.

Andrew Rumsey, spokesman for Tenon Recovery, confirmed to PrintWeek that a deal had been concluded, however he was unable to say any more at this point.
