BemroseBooth to shed 30 jobs in restructure

BemroseBooth is to cut 30 jobs across its UK sites this year, after restructuring its management roles.

Business development director Joe Pleshek said the new "centralised" senior management structure would enable the company to be more "market-facing".

It will also enable the sales and marketing operations, finance and IT facilities to be co-ordinated.

Around 30 jobs, all of which are non-production roles, will be phased out during 2006, across the group's three sites. This follows the loss of 70 jobs at the company's Derby-based Information Products division in September last year.

Pleshek said the managing director roles at the Derby, Hull and Thornaby sites would no longer exist.

Instead, Derby managing director Andy Blundell will take the newly created position of sales and marketing director across the three sites. Blundell will manage the sales teams and commercial functions of three main business areas: transactional services; secure logistics; and promotional products.

Hull and Thornaby managing director  Andrew Lindsey, has taken early retirement but will remain a consultant.
