Last weeks ceremony at the firms Uckfield factory was attended by 200 guests and staff. It is the 26th award for The Beacon Press in the last 14 years, marking it out as one of the leading environmental companies in the country, not just within the printing sector.
Fairbrass said The Beacon Press now recycled 84% of all its waste, had reduced CO2 emissions from 510 tonnes to 158 tonnes per year, and was reusing 70,000 litres of chemicals every year.
