Beacon picks Perfecta guillotine

Beacon Graphics has bought a Perfecta 76 UC guillotine from GAE, following its entry into the marketing sector through the provision of exhibition collateral and direct mail management.

Using its existing guillotine, the company found it was having difficulty providing the level of precision required by its clients.

Jeremy Cuthbert, managing director of the High Wycombe firm, said: "We took a good look at the guillotine market and were impressed with the Perfecta."

The firm has been looking at ways to diversify to increase its revenue sources and remain competitive. Beacon director Giles Cuthbert said: "We're also getting a Heidelberg two-colour Printmaster in June, which will mostly be used for letterheads."
