It is not the first time the two companies have linked up, having worked on joint development programmes for the past 12 years developing TIFF direct engraving.
"This agreement should result in additional revenue of approximately 337,919 (500,000) over the next 18 months," said Artwork Systems chairman Guido Van der Schueren.
At Drupa last year, Hell launched the first prototype of a laser engraver that creates gravure cells directly on to a copper or chromium surface. According to Artwork Systems, the 3D-RIP will "utilise the full potential of this laser engraver".
