The Gilbert & George images for Sonofagod Pictures were re-created using four colours from Beacon's base in Uckfield, East Sussex.
The artists, who produce visually complex images with digital media, ran off artwork on Epson kit before Beacon re-created them on paper using four colours. Fine-art consultant Francis Atterbury said the first run of 2,000 sold out within two weeks and the firm is printing 1,500 more on a six-colour Heidelberg CD 102.
