Artisan Press puts faith in third MM Corona C18 binder

Web offset printer Artisan Press has added a third Muller Martini Corona C18 perfect binding line to its range of post-press kit.

The Leicester-based company bought the 22-station C18 binder, which has a top speed of 18,000cph, to help it output high volumes of multi-sectional catalogues.

Works director at the £42m-turnover business, Gavin Hall, said: "Adhesive-bound catalogue production is a growth area of our business, and the new Corona enhances our reliability and production flexibility."

Hall added that the 300-staff company, which has a 40-year relationship with Muller Martini, had opted for the C18 primarily because of its "reliability and adaptability".

Andreas Schillinger, managing director of Muller Martini, said: "We are very proud to have earned their confidence as a major supplier. With their latest investment in our high-speed Corona C18 binder, they have become even more of a leading power-house for high-volume catalogue and brochure production."

The C18 binder will join existing kit that includes six Goss web offset presses, four of which have Goss' Sunday technology.
