ArjoWiggins extends Curious Collection range

ArjoWiggins has announced new products, extensions and colours to its Curious Collection range of specialist text and cover papers.

Operational marketing manager for fine papers, Angela De Vorchik, said the firm had been developing the new products and extensions over the past 18 months.

"The brand has to stay unique and innovative so every year the team has to come up with new unique products different to the market," she said.

The range is built around the core values of innovation supported by creativity and quality.

The additions include Curious Plastic Mellow, a synthetic paper that is a soft pliable sheet, which requires fully oxidising vegetable-based inks to be used when printing.

It is available in two colours, hint of silver and hint of blue, and in weights 120gsm and 250gsm with matching envelopes.

Curious Translucents now includes Flexi, launched in clear initially it has a strengthened foldability to prevent cracking. Available in weights 112gsm and 180gsm.

New colours have also been added to Curious Metallics, inspired by trends for fantasy and supernatural such as Harry Potter.

The new colours include three in metal, Hades - black, Inferno - red and Venom - copper, in weights 120gsm, 250gsm and 300gsm.

Two new colours have been added in iridescent, Citric Buzz - a bright yellow and Aqua Fizz - a turquoise blue, in weights 120gsm and 240gsm.

The new colours were developed with a Parisian colourist and style forecaster.

PaperlinX-owned merchant Robert Horne stocks the Curious Collection exclusively in the UK.

A launch event in October in London with key printers and designers will mark the new additions.
