The press completes a complement of Heidelberg 12-, 10- and two-colour perfectors, and marks an investment of more than 4m in the last 12 months. The presses run 24 hours a day, seven days a week for direct mail, financial and general commercial customers.
Almost 100 customers, suppliers and staff attended an open day to mark the occasion, with former England footballer Alan Mullery MBE joining Clarke on the speakers table. Anton Groups press line-up also includes a Heidelberg NexPress 2100.
Anton chief executive John Knight said the diversity Anton offered by different printing technologies among other things, resulted in infinite possibilities.
