Print outsourcing specialist Alistair McIntosh has secured a 5m three-year contract with international conglomerate GE Capital GCF to supply its UK print marketing requirements.
The contract, which has just started, will prompt the Yorkshire-based firm to take on additional staff to fulfil its new print management role.
Alistair McIntosh managing director Steven Oates said: We already had a very strong relationship with GE Capital after working with them in print outsourcing capacities over the years.
Oates added that the contract was a further fillip for the firm, known in the industry as Alimac, which has enjoyed 100% organic growth over the past three years.
The firm had supplied GE Capital GCFs operational print requirements, but under the new agreement it has become the sole preferred supplier for all its UK print needs.
Alistair McIntosh, which has over 200 employees, is based in Normanton, near Wakefield, and has 12 sites in the UK including Edinburgh, Romford, Peterborough, Bristol, Birmingham and Chester.
Its client list includes The Bank of Scotland, Asda, the Halifax, Pearl Assurance and GUS Home Shopping.
Last week it reported 40% growth in its direct mail division over the past 12 months, which helped push group turnover to 50m (PrintWeek, 17 August).
