Albert Follens has been appointed general manager worldwide of the Graphic Systems unit, a role he had been filling on an interim basis since the death of Marc Elsermans last March.
Follens is on the Agfa board and was previously responsible for group-wide production, logistics and research and development.
The sales and marketing role has been split with the creation of two vice presidents focusing on products and technology and one on sales and service.
Marc Schillermans has been appointed as vice president sales and service; he was previously at Esko-Graphics in a similar role. Jan Van Daele has become vice president, imaging solutions and Johan Berlaen has become vice president, software solutions.
Former director of marketing Piet Cottenie has been appointed managing director of Agfa Benelux.
Agfa is also rolling out its campaign to promote print to brand owners and to help its customers better market themselves under the Power of Print banner.
[o] Agfas new large-format piezo printer, the Grand Sherpa Universal, made its debut at the Viscom show last week. The printer, which can handle both coated and uncoated media, is available in three sizes, 50, 64 and 87. It will make its UK debut at the Digital Solutions show next month.
