Confusion had surrounded the administration status of the group, which collapsed in October, after two practitioners were instructed to the business by each of the two charge holders at the company.
However, CBA Insolvency Practitioners has now been appointed to take on the case with a spokesperson for the firm confirming that there was "an interested party" in the group.
The spokesperson added that although the "process is ongoing", a move to instruct the sale of the group's assets had been delayed owing to the legal wrangling that embroiled the company following the administration.
Immerse was formed in late 2007, following the demise of Loudwater. It was set up by Marc Cox who was previously managing director of Loudwater.
