ACL Group International has vowed to shake-up Londons point-of-sale market with CSG Print Solutions, which has been born from the firms acquisition of Clarkescreen.
The assets of the Feltham-based company, which were bought for an undisclosed sum, will be transferred to a new single-storey 1,500m2 unit in West Molesey. All of the firms 35 staff are set to move.
ACL operations director David Carey said: "This new company is effectively aimed at the PoS market in London. Were hoping to give the traditional printers a run for their money. Its a real opportunity for everyone."
ACL has hired DisplayCraft sales expert Darren Korol to drive the business forward. "Im delighted hes joining me at the company," said Carey. "We go back a long way and hes quite a salesman."
ACL Group International managing director John Driver said the 7m-turnover company was on course to achieve its sales goal of 15m to 20m in the next five years.
The acquisition will take staff levels to 120 in West Molesey, while the company has 35 permanent employees at Thornbury near Bristol and about 250 out-workers.
ACL Group International was formed earlier this year when ACL Cartons consolidated its four associated groups and brought its printing in-house (PrintWeek, 16 February).
The firm makes visual and transparent packaging for a number of high street names, including Boots, Sainsburys and Next, and now claims to offer a one-stop service to encompass promotional material too.
