What is your nickname?
Not the most glamorous nickname, but I’m regularly referred to as ‘Fish’ thanks to my big sisters who called me Cassie Codfish when I was young
Why did you get into printing?
People say that our family has ink in their blood so there wasn’t ever a question of me doing anything else
What would be your dream job?
Fortunately for me, I’m in it. Working at Moulton Printing with my father has always been what I wanted to do, ever since I was a little girl
What is your dream bit of kit?
A Sakurai eight-colour B1 perfector, but it doesn’t exist so it’s just a dream right now!
Who or what do you hate the most?
I could quite happily live the rest of my life without another early morning
Who do you admire most in the industry?
My father, David.He has been in the printing industry for over 50 years. He took over the reins of his father’s business when he was 21. His energy and passion for printing has grown our business to the company it is today
What is your favourite phrase or saying?
Don’t imitate, innovate
What is your greatest luxury in life?
Our family holiday: each year we visit the Greek island of Mykonos for two weeks of unadulterated R&R
Who would you like to be stuck on a desert island with?
Yoda for sure! He could use his Jedi powers to start fires, catch food and build shelter. He also has a wicked sense of humour and is great at crosswords so we wouldn’t get bored
What is your greatest ambition?
To see Moulton Printing celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2027
Who or what makes you laugh?
My mother – her one liner’s are rather hilarious! So much so her colleagues made a whole book of them
Most embarrassing moment?
I once had to have a week off work after burning my face with a steroid cream which I mistook for moisturiser
What’s your worst fashion disaster?
Rocking up to a wedding to find two other girls in the exact same dress… we looked like the bridesmaids
Which superpower would you like?
I think anyone in printing would like the ability to be in two places at once
What is the worst kind of print?
Print is one of the oldest industries in the world and unique in its heritage, creativity and innovation. Many printers forget this and trade solely on price – print born out of this slash-and-burn culture is the worst kind
What was the best business deal that you’ve pulled off?
We’ve recently started printing Small Printer, the magazine of the British Printing Society. It’s lovely to work on a job that I enjoy reading as much as printing
