Zund demonstrated new G3 cutters

Zund, the Swiss manufacturer of print cutting machines, revealed two new configurations for its high-performance G3 cutters.

The company used Fespa Digital 2009 to show the G3 3XL-1600 to the public for the first time, with the machine set up for cutting and trimming super-wide printed rolls.

At the same time, Zund showed off its new, semi-automated production workflow on the G3 M-1600, transforming it in to a high-volume production system that can cut non-stop – freeing up the operator to work on other tasks.

Zund also demonstrated the latest version of its V-cut tool, which can deliver cuts at four angles. This can be used to fold very thick materials in to a range of shapes.
