Trinity Mirror boosts unified management structure

Trinity Mirror has appointed two new members to its group to further its commitment to streamlining its regional and national titles.

Neil Jagger has been appointed group newspaper sales and marketing director, while Zoe Harris joins as group marketing director. Both roles have been newly created and will begin in early 2013.

Trinity Mirror’s chief operating officer Mark Hollinshead said: "Unifying the sales and marketing functions under theses senior positions is designed to deliver a One Trinity Mirror publishing model that will help us sell more newspapers."

The publisher underwent a management overhaul only two months ago to aid the merger of its regional and national brands under a One Trinity Mirror strategy to streamline the business.

Jagger will also join Trinity Mirror’s newly-formed Publishing Operations Group, a board of senior management formed to promote the company’s publishing potential and drive forward the One Trinity Mirror ethos.

Harris joins from London-based marketing and advertising agency WRCS, where she was strategy director, will report to Jagger, who in turn will report to Hollinshead. Jagger has held his position as circulation director of the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday since 2000.
