Tresu launches ink supply system

Danish flexo machinery manufacturer Tresu Group has unveiled its new Tresu F10 iCon Ink Supply System for ink circulation in central impression flexo presses.

The new system, which is suitable for water-based and solvent inks has been specifically designed for central impression (CI) printing systems where monitoring and control of ink flow, leakage and viscosity is more difficult due to the closed outer structure of the machines.

According to the manufacturer the Tresu F10 iCon provides viscosity, flow and temperature control between the ink bucket and rollers, which it says ensures stable ink density while constant air pressure prevents air contamination.

The 1,000mm wide by 500mm high system, which has a flow range of 5-30 litres per minute, features automatic cleaning after each run and is operated via a touch screen.

Trtesue R&D Manager Christian Fogh-Hansen said: "The F10 iCon Ink Supply System provides an assurance of safe, stable and controlled ink circulation in flexo printing, eliminating waste and freeing up time.

"This greatly boosts the potential for colour consistency and leaner print management in CI printing," he added.
