Stora signs on dotted line for PrintWeekLive!

Stora Enso will be showcasing its exclusive range of Lumipapers at PrintWeekLive!.

On its 21sqm stand Stora will focus on the LumiArt and LumiSilk ranges, which it stocks at its Suffolk premises.

Lumipaper managing director Mario di Lieto said: “We’re planning to have a conversation. It’s really about having the opportunity to discuss our product face-to-face rather than displaying lots and lots of samples.”

Di Lieto added that the uniqueness of the Lumipaper products, in the sense that Stora sells sheets direct without necessarily going through a merchant, means the team at Stora settled on the decision right from the start to focus on one product.

The woodfree, multi-coated LumiArt (glossy) and LumiSilk (silk) grades are made from virgin fibre and are targeted at demanding print applications where the highest quality reproduction of text and images is required.

Both are available in weights from 90-300gsm, and they are ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 certified.

Typical applications include art books, books, brochures, catalogues, magazine covers, folders, posters and inserts.

Stora will also be hosting a workshop, and is currently developing the content.

“We have a critical year in terms of marketing next year and the format with lectures and the ability to address customer base directly appealed,” added Di Lieto.

“We’re hoping through the workshop to get the message across about the sustainable and environmental credentials of the Lumi grade and we’re hoping to have developed the conversation further about what is available and get visitors to our stand to have a clearer understanding of what we do.”

Over the last few months, Stora Enso has hired a new chief executive for its consumer board division and outlined plans to consolidate its corrugated operations in Finland.
