Spectacular spectacle store

Display and communications firm LightBrigade Media was recently enlisted to help revamp Ray-Ban's flagship London retail operation in Convent Garden.

What did the job entail?

Working with Italian creative agency Sartoria Comunicazione and UK agency Slice, Surrey-based LightBrigade provided the print graphics element of the sunglass brand’s 75th anniversary ‘Never hide’ campaign.

How was it produced?
LightBrigade printed a series of display graphics on its wide-format Agfa Anapurna M2050 UV-curable printer as well as its Mutoh digital printer, often direct to self-adhesive vinyl and complete with a matt seal.

It has also already produced a range of smaller POS prints that were then mounted on to 5mm Foamex and displayed at till points across the store.

What challenges were overcome?
LightBrigade director of graphics Mark Lyne said the main challenge was the overnight transformation of the store.

"We experimented with a number of print techniques and substrates, but it’s been a great challenge and an honour to be involved in such a project," he added.

What was the feedback?
Slice project manager Sophie Lemm said the company was "very proud" of the work with both print and installation of the highest quality.

She added: "It is a testament to the team at LightBrigade that we have commissioned them to take us through the full campaign at this stunning store, which creates a truly memorable experience for our customers."
