Service Graphics gears up for Chessington move with new staff and equipment

Service Graphics has said it will advance into the new year with "the best capabilities in the UK" ahead of a move to its Chessington headquarters next month.

The large-format print division of St Ives is relocating from Wandsworth to a 4,274sqm facility, which will primarily serve its client base across London and the South of England, while also providing support to its plants in locations including Glasgow and Salisbury.

As part of its £4m expansion programme, the company has taken on 15 new members of staff across its studio, print and account management departments.

Scott King, sales director of Service Graphics, said: "This year we have continued to build on our relationships with some of the UK’s biggest players, but we have also won new business from other companies in the retail sector.

"Next year we will continue to target large clients but without forgetting our roots, providing a quality service."

Service Graphics has also invested in an Inca Onset S20 flatbed machine and the UK's first Durst Rho Tex dye sublimation printer, which the company said combined quality and speed.

The company's investment programme began at Ipex, where it signed for the UK's first Durst Rho 500R, a 5m UV roll-to-roll printer. Since then, Service Graphics has also invested in a Zünd G3 3XL1600CVE16 digital die-cutter, which represented a £150,000 spend.

Nick Cole, managing director of Service Graphics, added: "We pride ourselves on being able to offer the very latest technologies to our clients and our move to Chessington in January will enable us to advance into the New Year with the best capabilities in the UK.

"As market leaders we are responsible for moving the industry forward and we have been delighted to see growing demand from our clients who are confident in our abilities, and trust us to bring them the very latest advances in print and market intelligence."
