Robert Horne boosts specification sales team presence

Paperlinx merchant Robert Horne has made several new appointments to strengthen its specification sales team.

The Northampton-based company said the move is the latest drive to improve customer service, and said the staff appointed have "exceptional industry know-how".

Alex Wood has been promoted after four years as account director to specification sales team manager.

She has 20 years experience in the specification market for merchants and mills, including Tullis Russell, MoDo and Premier Paper.

Megan Simpkins has been appointed account director covering the London area.

Her background is in corporate print and she has been production and account director for an annual reports agency, and then client services manager for a print management company.

She has also recently worked in a senior sales role at paper merchant GF Smith.

Lindsey Carey has come to Robert Horne in a new role as account manager. She has spent 20 years working at companies including Quaiffe, Alliance, Fenner and GF Smith.

The staff will be working with designers, agencies and specifiers, offering guidance on the full portfolio of materials available from the paper merchant.

Paul French, managing director of Robert Horne, said: "Robert Horne is committed to growth and innovation whilst finely tuning our offering to customers."

The paper merchant supplies a range of materials, from paper and board to plastics.
