The Galley Club will host a talk called ‘The Simple Matter of Privacy, Defamation, Publishing and The Law’ in the upstairs function room of London pub The Devereux from 6.30pm to 9.30pm on 6 April. Clive Ince and Paul Herbert, part of the legal team at London commercial law firm Goodman Derrick, will look at some of the legal angles of publishing in the social media age. The talk will focus on the law of privacy and the law of defamation in a ‘lightweight’ fashion, considering the way the law is moving. Members have free entry while guests can attend by paying £10, which includes a buffet with wine. For more information, and to buy tickets, visit: bit.ly/galley-club.
