Print Futures awards open for 2011

The latest stars of UK print, publishing and graphic arts are encouraged to show just how good they are by entering the annual Print Futures Awards.

Sponsored by the BPIF, Unite the Union and The Printing Charity, the awards are open to those aged between 16 and 30, resident in the UK, and intend to or are already working in the industry.

Dale Wallis, BPIF membership director, said: "As we want to encourage and support young talent in the industry, we invited a number of previous applicants to submit their design concepts for this year’s Print Futures Awards."

Last year, five print stars of tomorrow were recognised at the awards, which were held at Konica Minolta's London headquarters.

The 2010 awards featured successes from companies including Jade Press in Leeds, Paragon Print & Packaging and the London College of Communication.

Held in conjunction with the BPIF, Unite and The Printing Charity, each winner took home up to £2,500 to help them to further progress their futures within the industry.
