Print Express expands short-run offering with HP Indigo investment

Print Express has invested in an HP Indigo 7000 to help expand the company's reach into short-run, high-quality print production.

The brand new machine, which was installed at the end of last month, will complement an existing range of litho and digital equipment at the South Ruislip-based company.

Its new HP Indigo will allow the commercial print company to produce short-run books and manuals as well as highly-targeted variable data work.

The installation also ties in with the re-launch of the 110 staff printer's e-retail website, which allows customers to order jobs such as brochures, business cards and leaflets in a 48-hour turnaround.

The HP Indigo 7000 can print up to 120 A4 pages per minute in colour mode, or 240 A4 ppm in mono operation.

Murtaza Daya, chief executive at Print Express, said: "We aim to give our customers the widest possible choice at the highest quality.

"The HP Indigo 7000 hence makes a huge contribution to the products and services we provide, in addition to our Heidelberg and Komori presses. We look forward to putting our new machine through its paces."

Print Express was established 25 years ago and serves a range of clients that include Coca Cola, NHS, Subway and Heinz. It has litho and digital print as well as finishing in-house.
