Northprint to promote online opportunities at 2009 show

Northprint organiser IIR is set to place an emphasis on adding value and the opportunities from online services at this year's show.

The exhibition, which takes places from 21-23 April in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, will run under a 'Building Value in Print' initiative specialising in how printers can boost their business through personalised products such as photobooks and calendars.

Companies already attending include Apex, Konica Minolta, Ricoh and Presstek.

Chas Moloney, marketing director at Ricoh UK, said: "Everyone is struggling at the moment and there isn't one printer in the country that will invest in equipment unless they can make money from it."

He added: "However, there will be some great opportunities and product offerings for printers at the show, which can help them make money and grow their business."

According to the show's organisers, 60% of the show space has already been reserved.

Gordon Kirk, event director at IIR, said: "Not only will we showcase the latest equipment, but we will demonstrate smart techniques to help companies grow their business and, through a series of free seminars, experts will give practical advice on important issues."

Northprint 09 takes place from 21-23 April at the Harrogate International Centre.
